  • Forest HoneyIs a delicious, cold-filtered raw honey collected from small scale bee keepers in the forests of Uttarakhand.
For centuries, forest honey has been consumed, traded and used as a food and medicine. An organic natural sugar, honey has been used worldwide for thousands of years. In India, Ayurvedic and Unani medicines have been using honey as a vital medicine for various ailments. In ancient Egypt honeycombs were preserved and buried in the tombs of the pharaohs.Like all foods, the health benefits of honey depends on the quality of the plants and environment from which the pollen, saps, nectars and resins are gathered. If the environment is polluted, traces of heavy metals, pesticides, and antibiotics can appear in the end product. Raw, unprocessed honey contains the widest variety of health-supportive substances. Our honey gathered from the forests of Kumaon is unprocessed and cold filtered. Pure honey that is stored in cold temperatures tends to crystallize, and will darken and change flavour if stored in warmer temperatures.

Honey is unique in that no two honeys taste exactly the same as the taste depends on the region in which the bees pollinated. Pure honey has no additives and if stored correctly will have an almost indefinite shelf life.

A healthy and excellent sweetener, honey can be used in many different ways

Please note that pure honey will crystallize at low temperatures

Honey is best stored in an airtight container so no moisture is absorbed from the air. (250 gram glass jar)
